A showcase of two projects I have worked on recently: Captain Nemo's Salon and the Carousel. All assets were created in Autodesk Maya and textured with a 10.24 textile density in 4k using Substance Painter. These are low-poly assets intended for video games. I truly enjoyed making them for my final year of university.

NEMO'S SALON ABOARD THE NAUTILUS

The Nautilus was created for my FMP. My thesis theme was adaptation, and so I set about creating an adaptation of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne into a video game environment. The key to its success was source fidelity (and a whole lot of research!). I loved making this environment and weaving oceanic themes into the assets. This project made me fall in love with texturing. The final touch which brought it all together was weaving caustics into the lighting.

THE CAROUSEL

The carousel is part of a larger environment I am currently working on. The goal is simply an abandoned fun fair with an eerie presence. The most challenging part of creating this carousel was modeling the horses, as I somehow believed it to be a good idea to box model them. Thankfully it all worked out in the end!
