Concept Art: Project Misfits, Morass & Paperbound

The first project I am showcasing is Project Misfits; A concept design born from my love for the colors of music and siblinghood. In this project I portrayed vibrant characters inspired by different musical genres & fashion language, since music has a lot of influence in fashion and eras. Then there is also a mini tour bus where the main character lives & performs. The bus is designed to be messy and bold, just like how the main character is.

Morass is a concept design project for a horror-themed assignment. It's essentially about a little girl who wanders in a creepy mansion inside the forest, thus meeting a peculiar creature that looks scary at first but is actually just lonely and was cursed to stay in that mansion. I love eerie visual stories and this is hugely inspired by Tim Burton. The toughest part of this project was to find the right shapes to deliver characteristics.

The Midnight Manor stays hidden in the mist in the middle of the woods where Akye is looking through. The mysterious yet mystical mansion always seems to be inhabited but never known by whom.

Paperbound is a story developed with Crew Production (my teammates in college) and these designs I'm showcasing are all my parts. The project takes place in a fantasy world-building where islands float and civilization has grown with ancient technology. We set a realistic style and it is culturally inspired by the Jomon and Yayoi period of Japan.
