A Sleep In The Deep is a game created with a team of six at Nanyang Polytechnic over the span of 3 months for a Final-year project.
A Sleep In The Deep is a 3D puzzle game where you follow a sleepy little cuttlefish called Sepiea on its journey through the ocean to get back home by solving puzzles using its hypnosis ability on creatures it encounters to overcome various obstacles.
Game Story
Sepiea is a small cuttlefish whisked away by some errant currents all the way to the shallows. It is nearing her bedtime, and she must now journey back to her home in the deep to catch her sleep. Follow and guide her as she solves several puzzles using her ability of hypnosis on some helpful creatures to overcome the obstacles in her way!Game Trailer

Environments
The first level takes inspiration from coral reefs, with vibrant colours meant to evoke a lighthearted feel.The second level takes inspiration from a deep-sea environment with oceanic vents and an abundance of bioluminescence to create a more mystical and advanced feeling.
Characters
The game contains a few characters, including the player’s character of Sepiea the cuttlefish, as well as the other cast of sea creatures she encounters.Sepiea
Sepiea is a sleepy cuttlefish that the player plays as. She can hypnotise the creatures she encounters to aid in her journey home. This ability was inspired by actual cuttlefish being able to hypnotise prey by flashing bands of colour, mesmerising them.
Stingray
The first controllable creature Sepiea meets on her journey, she can control them in order to cross gaps and to carry other creatures as well.
Small Fish
Cute little fish which happen to make tasty snacks for the Big Fish who block Sepiea's path, try not to get too attached to them.
Big Fish
Bigger variety fish who'd love to chomp down on some fresh fish/calamari if they can find it. Some laze around waiting for food to come while others look around an area.
Crab
The last controllable creature and only found in deeper waters, they help Sepiea open paths and block predators with their large claws and greater, rock-pushing strength.
