Urban Fantasy Character Designs

This was a character design lineup I did as an idea of  an urban fantasy filled with magical creatures that knew how to use magic.

These are, as stated, a mood board & original concept ideas for the witch character. I had the idea to combine urban/sportswear fashion with traditional witch clothing for the outfit.

After choosing the outfit I most liked, I then went on to construct the character a bit more and deciding on the final pose. After experimenting with multiple colour palettes I chose the one I liked to use for the final render.

I created some concept sketches for a side character/friend for the witch and ended up choosing the middle sketch as I thought it would be a good challenge.

After trying out a few colour palettes on this character I ended up choosing the one furthest on the left as I felt that it matched the witch's colour palette nicely. With the final render I ended up adding some decals to his shirt and pants to add to the sportswear look I was going for.

With the antagonist I made some concept sketches before deciding on the middle design and altering it a bit to make them look more mysterious and shady with the sharper edges and hair in front of the eyes.

The antagonist did go through some development from the original design to the final render in regards to what they were wearing. The jacket has the intentions of resembling a varsity jacket with the pants developing into trackpants.

Due to the first two characters having cooler colour palettes, the antagonist has a warmer palette to clash against the other two.
