Stefano Ambrosino Environment/Prop Artist
These are some of the works I did in the last few months studying at Think Tank Online to become a 3D Environment/Prop Artist for Films and TV
Endeavour: Beauty Render + Compositing
This was my Intermediate Term final project for Think Tank Online. I chose this concept because after the first 6 months of my studies I wanted to challenge myself with a bigger environment, a more realistic look and something in which I could really put all the knowledge and skills I've learned in the past months. The ship and the themes of endeavour and sailing higly reminded me of the journey that I'm currently taking at Think Tank and in the 3D world.

Time spent: 5 weeks. I was responsible for all aspects.
Only the vegetation assets are from Quixel Megascans.

MODELING
I tried to delegate most of the detail to the texturing phase and only sculpted some objects like the stone in the ceiling and details on the tents. This was the first I integrated Marvelous Designer in my workflow, I used it to create base meshes for the sails and the tents.
TEXTURING
This was definitely the hardest phase, the scene required a lot of unique textures and detail to achieve something that comes close to photorealism.
LOOKDEV
The lookdev phase took a lot of time to blend all the materials togheter and make sure nothing felt out of place.
CONVERSE SHOE
This project was a texturing assignment provided by Think Tank. This was my first time working with photoprojections and such a level of photorealism.
Model and references by Emily Bélanger.
Time spent: 2 weeks, I was responsible for UVs, Texturing, Lookdev, Rendering.
SCI-FI HELMET
This was a modeling/sculpting assignment provided by Think Tank.
The second project for which I used ZBrush and I had a lot of fun with it.
Time spent: 2 weeks.
A big thank you to all the people that allowed me to begin this journey and to all that helped along the way so far. A special mention goes to Alexander Ágredo, Avinoam Ruach and Maciej Biniek.
