This past year I set an objective for myself, to really grow as a 3D Artist. I feel that I accomplished my objectives and that is what I’m going to show here, what a year of full dedication to 3D looks like, with two of the projects that I’m most proud of: “Cyber Girl” and “Pirate Shark”

Hello everyone! My name is Ángela and I am a 3d Artist from Barcelona.

This past year I set an objective for myself, to really grow as a 3D Artist. For that reason, I started my studies at “Animum Creativity Advanced School” in the “Character Creation Masters Degree”. I feel that I accomplished my objectives and that is what I’m going to show here, what a year of full dedication to 3D looks like, with two of the projects that I’m most proud of: “Cyber Girl” and “Pirate Shark”. I hope that you enjoy the little journey that I’m going to take you on showing you these projects!

                                              CYBER GIRL

When I first saw the Cyber Girl concept, I knew I had to model it! I loved her aesthetics! Sadly, I didn’t find the concept artist for this amazing work, but if anyone knows, please let me know!

She reminded me of Jinx from League of Legends and Harley Quinn from the DC Universe, so they were my main inspirations while modeling Cyber Girl, I also searched for similar projects in art station for extra inspiration, I combined all of this in a pure ref document to start working.

I started with the High Poly Mesh that was made in Zbrush, here you can see some BPR renders from the High Poly!

Retopology was made in Maya and textures were made in Substance Painter

Here you can see some more detailed wireframe shoots to appreciate the retopology process

Some final renders!

To finish it off, a final turnaround video! Special thanks to my tutor Luis David Zavala García for all his feedbackd and help!

                                           PIRATE SHARK

The pirate shark project was also love at first sight, amazing concept artist 王桂震 made this amazing design and I couldn't stop myself from modeling it! I took a lot of inspiration from real life sharks but also more stylized ones for videogames/movie projects, I also combined it with references from real life elite body builders

I started doing all the High Poly and Micro details for the textures in Zbrush, here you have some bpr renders that showcase the high poly details

Full retopology was made in Maya as you can see in the above images

And to finish the project, I made the textures in Substance Painter + Final renders in Arnold! Thank you to my tutors Guillermo and Fabio for all their help!

I’m really proud of all the work I made this year, I can’t wait to show more of it in the next years of my career hopefully as more than a Rookie! Don’t give up on your dreams and keep pushing forward always! 😊
