The Sexshop

For this project we had to create from scratch two shots of an environment on the theme "Little Shop", in such a way that would be the incarnation of the store's owner. We started the researches during the year and had 3 weeks to realize it. I'll share with you my process from the ideas to the pictures.

The shop is inspired by two of my travels: Berlin and Amsterdam, and their underground industrial spaces.

My goal was to transmit this somewhat bizarre atmosphere: Eerie, uncomfortable, unusual, yet bewitching. The excitement of discovering for the first time in public a place of taboo, normally reserved to our privacy. This feeling of being attracted to, yet repelled by a place that we perceive as unwelcoming.

The goal here was to be explicit but not vulgar. I needed it to be erotic without showing anything

                                                                    Researches and process :

I made a plan of the shop and started to place the props. I also planned the camera positions to see what was going to be visible or not. Then I made a rough blocking to see how everything was going to turn out

I then used this blocking to draw the props I wanted in my scene on it. After that I listed the props with references and dimensions to prepare the modeling stage.
