URBAN ARCHICTURE

This project was done together with Pixelflakes, where we had the opportunity to work on one of their previous projects located in Huddersfield, UK, called Kirklees culture heart. We were provided with all the necessary materials by the client, including Revit models and documents containing information about materials, landscape, and concepts for the different buildings.

The project's aim was to revitalize Huddersfield and attract more people to the city. I decided to focus on the food hall and the large square in front of it. The spacious square allowed me to exercise my Photoshop skills and develop a concept that would bring the area to life.

The Villa

"The Villa" was one of our most ambitious projects, and it marked our first step into exterior design. The assignment required us to select a CAD drawing and construct a model of the house, complete with surroundings and vegetation, and watch it gradually come to life. I chose to create a classic white archipelago house with green window panes along the water. I callit “Skärgårdsvillan”

This endeavor was incredibly challenging and time-consuming, but it taught me numerous valuable lessons that I will carry with me throughout my career.

The Hotel

My fourth project was also our team's debut project. We were tasked with creating a hotel concept that captured the essence of a specific location's culture and climate. Each team member was required to create visualizations of three hotel rooms that showcased the property's overall character.

My team was assigned Tuscany, Italy, and I chose to visualize the hotel's restaurant area. We felt that an old vineyard estate situated amidst the rolling hills of Tuscany would be the perfect embodiment of the quintessential Italian dream. We selected Siena as our inspiration and incorporated the city's medieval architecture and traditional materials into our concept, emphasizing its rich history and centuries-old food traditions.

Our design focused on the typical Tuscan interior, featuring warm-colored stone, plaster, and wood materials that exuded rustic charm and simplicity.

Modeling

This project was “Modeling”, which required us to design and construct an already existing chair from the ground up. It allowed me to explore the chair's materials and fine points, resulting in a nice finish.

I selected a chair with unique shapes and curves which made it more challenging but also gave me an opportunity to showcase my skills. I was able to explore the characteristics and nuances of the chair and then make my own model

The project was developed using 3ds Max, and we utilized the powerful Chaos Corona render engine to bring our creations to life. Overall, it was a highly rewarding and satisfying experience that allowed me to sharpen my modelling skills and gain a deeper appreciation for furniture design.

Renovation - The Kitchen

For our second renovation project, we were tasked with finding a house or apartment in need of renovation and choosing two rooms to showcase their potential. I selected the kitchen as my second room because it is often considered the heart of the home and a crucial selling point for any property. I chose to create a kitchen where I was inspired by the location of the house, which is in the countryside.

Renovation - The living room

Project number two was a significant advancement from the first. We were tasked with finding a house or apartment that needed renovation, selecting two rooms, and showcasing their potential. For the first room, I opted for the living room, as I believe it should be a cozy place in the house where one can relax and feel at ease.
