OFFICE DESIGN - GOOGLE

This was my first workplace project it's to design, an office for GOOGLE at Level 20, Block B4, Leisure Commerce Square, No.9, Jalan PJS 8/9,  46150 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The built-up floor area of this unit is approximately 5000 sqft(465 sqm). The design intention of this office space is encapsulating social space and selection of fun colour to bring out a different workspace compared to traditional workspace design. 

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

WORK HARD PLAY HARD

The design concept is inspired by the google search which has become the most used web-based search engine which is google chrome. The keyword for my concept " work hard play hard " is curve and fun. The keyword fun is inspired by the logo. The fun concept has also brought out the identity of Google where they strongly promote "work-play balance". By using different colour in the interior design, it will give plenty of energy to work. Moreover, in a colour psychology study it can gather people connect with each other and gives the opportunity for communication. The keyword curve is also inspired by the logo.

RETAIL DESIGN - DOLCE & GABBANA

Here comes to my second project which is retail design. To design a fashion boutique for DOLCE GABBANA at L2 & L3 at Pavillion Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. The built, -up floor area of this unit in 1717 square feet / 500m2.  This is the first time i used the software Lumion to render.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

THE BEAUTY OF LANTANA

Sicily and Sicilian culture are the most important style and identity of Dolce Gabbana. Sicily summer flower which is lantana is the identity of Dolce Gabbana. They used it in their product and also their inspiration. The keyword for my concept " the beauty of lantana are curve, repetition and contortion. The keyword curve and repetition are from lantana. Lantana is made from a lot of tiny flower and form together to become a complete flower. Besides, the keyword contortion is from the dress on Dolce Gabbana 2019 fashion show. The concept title export from combining the three keywords, it means to achieve the shape of curve that make sense while allowing customers to follow the direction flow of the store. Curve and repetition will be used to create display units for the product to have the eye-catching display, while contortion will be used to create the flow of the walkway of the store.
