Pirate Fantasy

The proyect that I am presenting is called "Pirate Fantasy". This project is designed to create several concepts for the same universe,  inspired by the aesthetics of the pirate world from a fantastic and colourful point of view.

Character design

The main character is called Anemone, a little shipwrecked girl who was rescued by pirates and grew up to become the most feared captain. When she was lost, she found a flying fish egg that hatched and became her best friend.

The villain of this universe is called Gorg Chainedfeet, a sea orc who was punished for his grave crimes by being imprisoned in the deep. He is so powerful that he controls all other sea creatures with the gem on his forehead.

Creature Design

This world is full of fantastic creatures, the most searched for animal is the Holodragon. It has transparent scales that allow it to camouflage itself in its habitat.

To design this dragon I made several sketches of heads and bodies until I reached the final design, similar to a crocodile. To better understand the volumes of the head I made a 3D model which helped me to create the final illustration.
