Concept Art Portfolio 2023

Caelim is a personal project with Risha as the main protagonist, a curious explorer coming from a human-bird village. She decides to begin an adventure exploring different cities, being Caelim the first one.

Known by their ceramics, this town is populated by half human-half mammal people, such as bears, chinchillas...

It is gobernated by its king, who also preaches their gods scriptures, being the Sun the main one, so there's different sun references all over the place.

Risha's always been a crafter. In her village she taught kids to craft and build things with wood, beads and different materials. The bird staff is a gift from them to carry it in her adventure. I'd really love to design her home town in the future.

Netbreakers is a personal project based in a futuristic tokyo gang I did a year ago which I posted here, so I redesigned the characters. I am really proud of my improvement!

As she approached the source of the noise, Irisea saw a glowing, bronze armor emerging from the shadows. The armor was ancient and ornate, with intricate patterns etched into its surface. It seemed to be alive, moving on its own as it approached her.

Ben, a humble cinema staff working in The Beaver's Lodge Mall, gets involved in the chaos caused by The Entity, and he has to survive.
I wanted to give him an "I'm done" vibe, he's being overworked in the mall's cinema fixing things, being a cashier and cleaning. I also thought it would suit the narrative him seeming somewhat like a "rebel", but being so dedicated to his work due to his personal situation.

I found interesting the contrast between being the mascot of a mall, which also has its own show and entertains kids and families, and being a killer possessed by The Entity. Even if the show was complemented with animatronics, I wanted the Killer to be a human inside a costume. This allowed me to detail things like the hands being free to play or greet the kids, and get a more interesting shape with him standing on his own foot. And even if I loved the "manic smile" options, I preferred giving him the same expression the man inside would have, so it expresses better his personality.

Founded in the 80s, The Beaver's Lodge Mall quickly became a popular destination for families and teenagers alike. One of the mall's biggest attractions was The Snuffles Show, which featured animatronic animals and was beloved by children of all ages.

The man who played Snuffles was growing increasingly unstable and resentful of his job, and he began to take out his frustration on the mall's patrons. One day, he snapped and got possessed by The Entity's wishes.
