Heaven in a Room

“Heaven in a Room” is a romantic image. Someone has been in the bedroom, it’s messy. But now everything is quiet and calm. It feels like being with your loved one: you are floating in the clouds.

During the whole creative process I had in mind an old Italian song called “Il cielo in una stanza”. Its verses perfectly describe the scene: “...When you’re here, close to me / this purple ceiling stops existing / above us I see the sky / and here we remain, rapt / as if nothing else, but us, / was left in the world...”

The main challenge was to find the right shape and texture for the clouds, as it can be seen from my test renders. Given that I was not totally satisfied with the clouds in the raw render, I decided to fix them in post production.
