FX reel - Martín Chumillas

Hi everyone! Here is my participation in The Rookies 2023 where you can find some of my latest personal projects and others works I have done in Animum3d.

I used Houdini with the Axiom solver to recreate the smoke of an incense. To achieve realism, in compositing I added a soft camera movement and the loss of focus in the incense  to recreate that it was recorded with a real camera.

In this project I had to control the coke fluid along a curve trying to not lose the shapes of the fluid. 

Project I did at Animum3D where I had to do all the FX and integrate it with the real footage.

On this effect I wanted a style like "witchcraft" so I played with the green tones in the lights and in the smoke and in compositing I put everything in the same universe.

Magical fx using curves for advecting the smoke and the principal particles. There is another particles emission from the principal ones and another where the sword impact with the ground. In this one all the compositing is done with Fusion in Davinci Resolve.

Another personal project where I tried to recreate the reference. I had to integrate all the models and the rays that I did with the background that I cleaned in photoshop removing the houses, fences and the tesla.
