Compositing Reel | Roy Terium
In my compositing reel I showcase a wide variety of skills I acquired as a compositor during my studies at Digital Arts and Entertainment. This includes clean-up work, projections, CGI integration, matte paintings, etc.
I also wanted to share a 3D project I learned a ton on.
This project required to find a painting as inspiration for the lighting and composition and inhabiting the scene with a certain scene/style from a film or show.
I got inspired by the painting 'Morning Sun' by Edward Hopper and paired it with the devastating film of David Lowery: 'A Ghost Story'.
The themes of loneliness, desolation and grief were portrayed quite beautifully in 'Morning Sun' and matched up well with the profounding and claustrophobic cinematography by Andrew Droz Palermo in 'A Ghost Story'.
Except for some assets, all of the models and textures are made by me.
