Spear gun

This spear gun was inspired by Scott McMaster, a propmaker whose work I referenced. The asset incorporates 4 to 5 different materials, which allowed me to challenge myself and test my skills. I aimed for accuracy in relation to the reference, and personally handled the modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, and lookdev for this asset.

The software I used to work on this project included Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush, RenderMan, Nuke, and Photoshop.

This shotgun was inspired by Karen Caslib, a talented 3D artist. When I first saw her 3D model and its texturing, I was deeply impressed by her work. Motivated by that, I wanted to challenge myself and recreate it to see how far I could push my own abilities.

Crystal hammer

I chose this crystal hammer from a stylized art piece and attempted to recreate it in my own unique style. My goal was to achieve a balance between stylization and realism, and I wanted to see how well I could accomplish that.

Shotgun

Pixar's Kitchen

I am a huge fan of Pixar animations, and I absolutely adore the movies produced by Pixar and Disney. I am particularly captivated by the stylized yet realistic visual style they achieve in their films. With that in mind, I put forth my best effort to make this scene as realistic as possible. It's worth mentioning that I was still learning Substance Painter while working on this project.

Vintage Taxi

I selected this project because the concept art reminded me of the Bioshock game, which I enjoyed playing while growing up. Creating this car was a personal endeavor for me, and it also marked my first experience using Substance Painter for texturing.

Van Bar

This project was inspired by a Chinese concept artist, unfortunately, I couldn't find their name to properly credit them for their concept. I was truly captivated by the concept and the intricate details presented in it. With great care, I aimed to preserve the visual elements from the concept while also incorporating some of my own additional ideas.

I sincerely apologize to the judges for not providing sufficient breakdowns for some of the assets I submitted. Unfortunately, I lost those project files due to a hard drive corruption. I want to express my gratitude for taking the time to review my work, and I truly appreciate your efforts.
