These pieces were created during the portfolio course at The Game Assembly. The course lasted from January to the beginning of April and was really fun to work on.

Forest Inn

For my first portfolio piece I wanted to create an enchanted stylized environment that felt alive and part of a bigger universe. This project was an exciting and rewarding experience and really helped to push my 3D art skills.

All assets were modeled using Maya and designed to be modular components. The whole scene was then rendered using Unreal Engine 5. The texture of the house and the props are all part of the same trim sheet created in Substance 3D Designer. The appearance of bricks poking through the structure was accomplished through vertex painting, which also added an element of diversity to the modular pieces.

Teapot House

The goal for this project was to create a cosy scene using sculpted assets. I wanted to make it feel like a house for a mouse who now lives in a tea pot, scavenging for furniture parts from scarps and old doll house furniture.

All assets are scuplted in zbrush, re-topoed in Maya and then baked and textured in Substance 3D painter. Everything is then renderd in unreal engine 5.

Coffee Grinder

After discovering an antique coffee grinder on a auction website and felt inspired to recreate it in 3D. The combination of weathered wood and corroded metal in the grinder presented a appealing challenge to me. I constructed the low poly model using Maya and then incorporated it into Zbrush to infuse the high poly with realistic dents and tears. Given that it is a portfolio centerpiece, I allowed a considerable budget for this project.

The assets was textured in Substance 3D painter and rendered in Unreal Engine 5.

The wallpaper and table wood textures were sourced from Textures.com.
