Casey Schwarzschild - 3D Animator
Howdy! This is some of my work from my junior year at Ringling College of Art and Design as a Computer Animation major. I strive to make fun and entertaining stories that can be told through unique characters. I am responsible for all aspects unless stated otherwise. Thank you for looking at my work!
Gone Fishing...?
Meet Jörgen, a Swedish ice fisherman who just wants to start his long day of fishing. This was my first time using a fully joint-based face rig as well as xGen.
Getting to the final product took a lot of time and thoughtful choices as well as a lot of research! Here is a small snippet of my process:
Visual Development - Fully modeled, textured, rigged, and hair sim - First pass of the environment and textures - Second pass of the environment - Final composited render
Here is my reference video that I shot and used to get the acting right
Conspiracy Theorist Me!
It's me! But as a conspiracy theorist! I'm concerned about all the normal things your average conspiracy theorist is concerned about, like how the government is hiding the truth about the existence of werewolves. This is my first time using nCloth simulation and Arnold Toon Shader.
Here is my reference video that I shot to focus on big, clear expressions as well as moving through a wide range of emotions
The Birds are Calling
This was a silhouette warmup assignment at the start of Junior year. I learned a lot about the importance of posing and silhouette as well as having a clear, easy to understand and entertaining story. The character rig was provided by Ringling College of Art and Design.
