    Digital fashion collection as a political statement and a mirror of a present time. At the same time very personal collection to me, my  artistic protest against the horrific events happening in the  countries I am belong to. Growing up in Belarus and having a lot of relatives in Russia and Ukraine ,I am truly devastated by the recent events and the last 3 years have been very tough for me. Every day starts with a horrible news: death, suffering, destroyed cities, destroyed lives in Ukraine. Propaganda, lies,  brainwashing, injustice, murders and intimidation in Russia and Belarus.

There are  5 looks in the collection, each of the looks tells a story . The main idea of the collection is breaking yourself free from fear, standing up and speaking out, protecting your loved ones and fighting the injustice, uniting with others as only united we are able to stop the destruction and suffering.

As an artist and clothes customizer who knows a lot of interesting techniques of clothes customization, I decided to create hand painted textures, incorporating my art into designs. Such way I was able to emphasize storytelling and make a viewer  explore the garment, think about what artist/designer tried to say, what is the message of each piece.

The collection  is very dark as it is reflecting the current horrible events .I used a lot of leather, and lot of black and red color for a dramatic feeling .I took a lot of inspiration from street style and street culture, making baggy jeans and hoodies, using spray paint in texturing and hand-writing on clothes. All the pieces can be easily recreated in real life , and I think it’s is really great to realize that you are able not only enjoy the digital piece but have a chance to get a physical version of it.  

To create clothes I used Marvellous Designer, to make hand-painted textures - Substance Painter

1. Riot.

 The first look I created for this collection , the beginning of story and a starting point. It’s pretty simple- jeans and hoodie, but that is the textures that make it so intense and interesting to look at. This look defines the main idea of collection- break yourself free, courage is resistance to fear.

The second look is about love , the amazing power of it. If your fear is too strong, only love has a possibility to destroy it. When the person you love is in the great danger , nothing is able to stop you.

3.Censored

 The look which gives us a very strong message- in a times of censorship and poisoning propaganda it is very important to speak out and break the silence. The rose is a symbol of the truth and almost as an armor it is able to protect people and save a lot of lives

4.Truth

 The darkest look of the collection. The beasts are symbolizing unstoppable lies , and just like a dangerous animal , lie is able to kill.

With a help of a Zero10 AR fashion platform I was able to bring some of the pieces from the collection to the AR (augmented reality) and now anyone  can try-on them ,create content and  help me share important message of this collection
