FATUI // ECHOES

"EL CUERPO SENTIDO" WINNER CONCEPT VIDEO

By Paula Arboleda @Prusama_art (type-animations & fluids), María del Prado Fernández @delprart (2D animations) & Sergio Pérez @Merlu.psd (Art Director, editor & integration)

This project was submitted to the @SMTH.art initiative "EL CUERPO SENTIDO" which proposed to new talents to express the perception of the individual through digital art. The work was the winner and, therefore, exhibited on different screens in the Plenilunio and Vialia shopping centers in the Spanish cities of Madrid and Vigo, respectively.

The work "ECHOES" displays a juxtaposition of the perception of the self through the bias of the machine, highlighting the issue of overexposure of the individual in different interaction settings, thereby generating countless perceptions of oneself based on the context.

It was generated using mixed techniques, blending different types of expression such as illustration and animation, generative art, and image corruption.

Shots of hands, faces, and real images were captured through Kinect and its respective modes, including infrared imagery or generative 3D, among others. In addition, organic animations are added, which contrast with the digital and corrupted image obtained with the Kinect.

Despite the mixture of so many elements, a cohesive aesthetic and discourse are achieved thanks to the art direction.

Personal Branding BUMPER

Personal brand image, under the pseudonym Merlu. Neutral in nature to fit into the diversity of media and styles.

The idea of identity stems from the need to create an aesthetic that could encompass the diversity of styles. Therefore, we consider making our own barcode.

Barcodes are capable of structuring absolutely everything logically, giving us an unattainable homogeneity

Jetix comeback (concept) BUMPER

Introducing the Epic Resurgence of JETIX in the Modern World!

Prepare to be amazed as we unveil the thrilling revival of JETIX, the iconic Spanish television channel that captivated audiences until its disappearance in 2009. But guess what? We've crafted a spectacular bumper, teasing a potential comeback that will blow your mind!

Drawing inspiration from cutting-edge design trends, we've meticulously reimagined JETIX's identity to perfectly align with the contemporary era. Brace yourself as you witness the magic unfold in our mesmerizing bumper.

Immerse yourself in the visuals as JETIX's signature 3D ball breaks free from the confines of flat colors, evading capture at every turn. Yet, against all odds, the colors converge, engulfing the ball, unveiling a renewed and exhilarating channel concept that will leave you in awe.

RESPIRAR & O.M.S.A

RESPIRAR

"Respirar" - the EP by galician rapper Amorodo. I have meticulously crafted the entire visual identity for this project, drawing inspiration from the skies and captivating color gradients reminiscent of Van Gogh's iconic "Starry Night." Each of the five EP tracks boasts its own personalized Canvas, weaving together a narrative of resurrection.

O MONSTRO SEGUE AÍ

Once again, this project was a collaboration with the musician, Amorodo, who was releasing his new EP OMSA (O Monstro Segue Aí). My task was to create the artwork for the EP cover, as well as the single cover for the lead track from the EP, "Non vas Marchar" and the adaptations for YouTube. Additionally, I was tasked with creating animations for the Spotify canvas that would accompany each of the tracks on the EP.

In this new EP, the aim is to capture the struggle against time, the fear of losing loved ones, and the feeling of despair. "Non Vas Marchar," the lead single, takes the EP's structure and uses it as its centerpiece, being completely engulfed by the loop of time. Furthermore, the album cover of OMSA confronts the inner child with their greatest fear: time.

Thank you for taking the time to discover these projects.
