1. polycarbonate with holes: silicons will flow through the holes while casting, bringing more support for the palm
2. polycarbonate knee cap： the leg won’t look like a noodle while bending at the knees also bring more support for the upper leg

A PIANO!

Detail

I used cardboard to mock out the piano. So I know the size and style.

For the piano leg, the hardest part is the carved patterns. Instead of carving on wood, I cut out the general form in balsa wood then I build up the detail with clay. Clay has a smoother surface which is helpful for later molding and casting.
