3D Model - Viking Warrior
Project Description: A female viking warrior heavily inspired by Nordic and Celtic origins. She lives in cold regions and is a formidable fighter and brawler using her war axe and shield. I'd like to imagine that she is a very respectable warrior in her town, and is a bodyguard to a person of royalty like the chieftain or the leader. She is also looked up upon by her peers, winning many fights without breaking much of a sweat.
Why I chose this concept: Because I did a male, clean character for my DGA term 2 project, I wanted to do a strong female medieval-style viking. I wanted to try to do a female face and long hair as I think if I can master that, it will be useful in the industry in the future. There is a lot more organic materials in this concept too, like leather, bandages, cloth, etc, and I want to brush up on my organic modelling as I felt that it needed improving. There was a lot of opportunities for me to improve on my texturing work as well as I can learn how to add more damage and details onto a model that is conceptually more rugged and worn down.\
