LOST PIRATE

 This project was completely dedicated to learning unreal engine and understanding the workflow of it. Little progress each day.

There was a point where I gave up and moved back to Maya due to the fear of new software, But I re-centered my goals and kept pushing. Super delighted with the output!

STEP BACK

Inspired by Arcane, I wanted to try this concept as it looked challenging with lot of accessories and clothes. I've added my own touch to it. I also wanted try that 2D hand-painted texture effect. which I hope it worked, still tryna figure out and learn.

What's On Fire?

The concept of the characters was made by Cory Loftis,

With this project, I wanted to make it look like a shot from a movie, to convey a story with these two characters which was one of my goals of this project.

I have worked on all the aspects of this image, including modeling, surfacing, and grooming to finish with some lighting and comp in nuke. The props for the environment were picked up from Quixel.

It was fun making these two characters! Texturing and Lookdev was the challenging part of this project. As the concept was a sketch, I had to put my own artistic choice to make it look right in 3D. Learning the basics of Nuke was one of the most helpful in making this final image.

Well, I hope you like these two freaks, you'll never know what they set on fire :D
