I created a cinematic scene depicting a turret blocking a dragon from coming out of a portal, after failing to study portals.

I was inspired by Keita Okada's work. I thought it would be great to create a scene using this dragon coming out of a portal.

To make the dragon more visible, I worked on brightening the textures of both the portal and the dragon. Additionally, I created a darker background to help the dragon stand out, and adjusted the lighting to focus the viewer's attention on the dragon, with the portal as the centerpiece.

The production flow started with modeling and UV mapping of the dragon and background assets, followed by rigging, animation, texturing, rendering, pass compositing, and finally, adding special effects.

I focused more on the completeness of the scene rather than the details of the assets. The part of directing the scene is the most interesting.

I have learned and experienced a lot through portfolio work.

While it's a good habit to try to solve problems on your own while working, there are times when it may be difficult to do so alone. In those situations, it's important to seek help from others.

The same applies to portfolio work. If there are things you don't understand, you should ask your teacher, colleagues, or internet communities for help so that you can make it your own. By working with the help of others, you can improve your abilities.

Confidence also has a big impact on portfolio work. If you have confidence, you can be more creative and produce better results. So, it's important to have a positive mindset and confidence when working on your portfolio.

I would like to thank SF Film School for providing me with a lot of help in creating this work.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my work.

I hope that everyone has good things happen to them.
