I am thrilled to announce the release of my latest demo reel, showcasing my work as a CG Asset Artist. These projects have given me the opportunity to demonstrate my proficiency in Maya, Zbrush, and Mari. I'm incredibly proud of what I've been able to achieve.

Round of applause for our sponsors

Hey Everyone! I’m very excited to share my mentorship project at Think Tank Training Centre with the guidance from: Adrien Vallecilla.

I've learned so much from Adrien! It was a massive accomplishment as the goal of this reel was to “experience” the whole CG workflow "pipeline" in general.

So I started with matching the 3D blockout to a real photograph of the assets "Mavericks Helmet" & "Hurdy Gurdy Instrument", then worked on the modeling until all the parts were proportionate to its reference, managing UV for both assets to make sure it has a very good layout, painting textures to both the helmet and instrument, the look development, and the lighting which is the most crucial part. Once that was finalized, I made a series of Batch Renders of several shots and imported them into Nuke to do some touch ups in compositing.

                                                                Helmet Render Shots

                                                                   Helmet Reference

                                                        Helmet Texture Breakdown

The texture breakdowns consist of the wireframe, diffuse, specular and glossiness maps.

Problem Solving was the biggest Element - Render comparisons, tackling all the render passes, troubleshooting bugs, simplifying shaders to make the render more efficient. Nevertheless, it turned out quite well at the finish. I’m glad to see all the hard work payed off.

                                                Helmet Carpaint Shader Breakdown

This shader is to help get a car like coat paint aesthetic.

                                                             Instrument Render Shots

                                                              Instrument Reference

                                                     Instrument Texture Breakdown

The texture breakdowns consist of the wireframe, diffuse, specular and glossiness maps.

I’m very grateful to my mentor, who devotes so much time to make sure the goals are being achieved. Lastly, I also want to thank my schoolmates and faculty from Think Tank for facilitating all my studies.
