3D Props & Environment Showcase
A compilation of projects completed during my final year at Norwich University of the Arts.
Beyond Extent - Team Environment Art Challenge - Under Siege
This challenge, hosted by the Beyond Extent community, lasted 5 weeks and had 5 teams of 5 participants. The theme of the challenge was "Under Siege". Our team unfortunately lost a member early on, however, we continued working towards our final goal.
My team consisted of Matt Cane, Matthew Wilshaw, and Kyran Taylor.
Final Renders
Scene Development
For this project I worked on a large number of the props featured in the scene. Props shown in the studio render above are my own, with the window texture being created by Matthew Wilshaw. I also worked on some blood decals, physics based bunting, kit bashing, and assisting with set dressing. Throughout the scene, I created smaller scenes using the assets my team and I created. One small scene I made was the small battle scene shown in the 4th image.
Matt Cane worked on the technical side (setting up master materials, RVT, and heightfields). He also produced and set dressed the buildings
Matthew Wilshaw produced all tiling textures
Kyran Taylor produced the swords, spears, shields and lantern
The Warlock's Study
My submission into the Grads in Games Search For A Star contest. The given brief was to choose from a list of themes and create a game ready environment with 4 key assets. For my theme I chose "The Depths of Winter" and my 4 assets included: Portal arch, book and lectern, display case, and metal gate. The final piece was presented in Unreal Engine 5.
Some Quixel Megascans assets were used to populate the scene. These include the trees, candles, some decals, and the wall and floor textures. All lighting and particle effects were completed by myself. This project took around 70 hours to complete.

Development
Star Wars Keyblade
This asset was created as part of my first unit in my final year at university. We were given six weeks to create 2 assets in the style of another studio. For the first half of this project I chose Square Enix and the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Development
Chivalry 2 Trebuchet Asset
This asset was created as part of the second half of the studio unit. For this asset I chose Torn Banner Studio's, Chivalry 2. This project was my first look into sculpting using ZBrush. Through creating modular parts, I was able to reduce the number of parts that needed sculpting. This allowed me to speed up the project to focus on final presentation.
