The Coffee Express

Good morning everyone!

I'm a little behind on schedule but I finished the concept/direction I would like to go with my express coffee robot. 

Most of my time went into learning how to use affinity photo and affinity designer. But I'm very happy with what came out in the end. This will definitely help me in the next few phases. 

Next I will work on blocking out in 3d. 

Last week I hoped to finish my concept and start the basic block out for modeling. That didn't happen. Instead, I got sick with the flu, still having to go to work. I focused on getting better fast so I could get back at this. I'm feeling better today. I can stare at a screen without any headaches or migraines.

Thursday, finish rough block out in 3d

Over the weekend, start refining my shapes and lines.

I have a lot to do, but nothing is impossible if I pace myself and plan ahead. 

Over the weekend, I decided to take a step back and research.  I learned about a tool called midjourny. It took quite some time to guide and generate what I wanted in my head. But over 100s of generated garbage, I got to these few images. In the next day or two, I'm going to take and choose parts  I like and kitbash them into a few more sketches/concepts. 

AI-generated art is great for getting to a general idea very fast. 

This will set me back, but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

Being able to actually visualize my idea has given me a better understanding of what I like and dislike. 

I made some changes to the brewing chamber. I researched how to do panel lines. I'm not liking the direction I'm going with this. I need to take a step back and approach this differently

I don't have much time to work on this at home due to my work schedule. That's not going to stop me!! 

I have to design and sketch out ideas on my iPad.

I can't draw, but I can push and pull lines and make boxes. 

Here is today's progress so far. 

I started on the brewing chamber.

Hopefully, by the end of today, I can get more done. 

I don't know how to draw or use 3d tools

But I do know I can learn.

Let's see how far I can get in a few months. 

I want to combine a espresso machine and a train together. Imagine a big dog sized train robot going around the office. Making fresh coffee for each Individual.
