"Okeanos" is a live action movie project.

"In a near future, a spatial expedition is organised and sent from Earth in direction of an extraterrestrial planet. The reason ? Some alien monuments have been surveyed on its surface. The goal of the expedition is to list and study the odd structures, and explore the aquatic planet in order to find what is at the origin of these constructions."

Being a movie of anticipation, I developped my concepts to make them look like it could a possible outcome of what technology has in store for the futur.

(Left) The main character of the movie. He is a cartographer tasked to map the monuments and analyze their geological structure in order to draw a maximum of informations out of them.

(Right) The robot helping the main character in his task. He is able to climb high heights and gather informations so the hero doesn't have to.

A representative of the native alien species who made the monuments. They built them as altars used to find their way on the planet.

A view of the environment of the planet and how the human base interacts with it.

Interior of the base. This room is the place of operation the main character uses, with a space dedicated to cartography and another one to geological analyzis.

Concept of one of the key moment of the story. The hero finally manages to gather some coordonates and find a specimen from the alien species for the first time.

"Kardaval" is a 2D video game project.

The story takes place in a world centered around the universe of playing card, tarot, paper etc.

For the contest entry, Il'only be showing the researchs I made for the first environment of the game : "Papertown".

(Left) The first researchs. I wanted to experiment different visuals to represent a city named "Papertown". I finally decided to go with the cardboard buildings.

(Right) Structural researchs to see how the city would visually arrange itself. I was inspired by the principle of pop-up card and made the city rises between two main walls.

Buildings researchs. I developped the city its very own architectural culture by using multiple elements linked with cardboard (tape, toilet paper and paper towel rolls, marker, symbols). On the left is some plastical researchs I made with real cardboard, then painted over.

Narrative researchs. I made compositions and color ambiances in order to share a preview of what one of the cutscenes in the game could look like.

"Octave le Crabe" (Octave the Crab) is a 2D shortmovie realised by a group of the 2D animation section of my school. I had the occasion to help them during the pre-production part of their project, mostly to develop environments.

The very first concepts of the movie. I producted some visuals to design the island  where the plot takes place and made first stylisation propositions as well.

The team then asked me to develop more environments for some of the sequences present in the movie.

Finally, I had to make colored concept of different backgrounds according to the storyboard of the movie.

As a last demand, the team proposed me to make some creature design for one of their character, the" Knnibal" Crab.

Other projects I worked on during the year.

A character design I made for a medieval-fantasy project. I had to develop it to make him seem halfway between the human and the machine.

Two characters I made for a 2D animation series project.

The first one (Yellow) is a playful alien using his speed and agility to take his ennemies by surprise. The second one (Orange), on the other hand, tends to directly rush in the heap without thinking. Both of them are directly related in the story, so I designed their costume to convey their affiliation.

Quick illustration made with the help of 3D modelisation.
