I had the opportunity to develop two full projects so far this academic year. 

In this redesign of the beloved Final Fantasy IX, I tried my best to analyze the source material in order to ensure and conserve its essence and mood. I re-imagined a couple of characters and developed my own location and boss creature so that they could fit in this world. I wanted to try a more modern approach in terms of style and how I imagined the gameplay would be in this day and age of videogames, similar to that of more recent FF games. However, I tried keeping a more stylized artstyle. I used a mix of 2d and 3d media in order to be more efficient in the process of developing some of the concepts. Total of 3 months of development.

From characters and creatures we move on to environments, props and and a redesigned Red Rose for Queen Brahne!

ONAT

For this other project, I researched cultural and architectural elements from various regions in Spain to develop realistic environments and props, as well as designed two original characters, the protagonists of my story. It was inspired by the Uncharted game saga in terms of overall look and plot. A couple of friends go on the search of a mythical artefact with leyendary powers before it lands in the wrong hands, going through all sorts of adventures along the way. I also used a mix of 2d and 3d media in order to speed up the process in some of the concepts. Total of 4 months of development.

In this image we see the outside of the final location, a real templar church located in Spain, surrounded by the enemy. Later down we can see the fictional catacombs underneath, where the story meets its end.
