Mysterious Forrest

Hello my name is Reuben Foord I am in my second year at Yoobee Colleges In Christchurch and I will be taking you through the journey of my 3D Creations that I have created over the course of the year (Student)

to start off my submission I am submitting my final image project that I did to end off my first year at Yoobee Colleges , I was very proud of how the End result turned out as this was fully created by myself, I did all the models, texturing and the final composition over the course of 3 weeks, I used software like Maya ,Zbrush, Substance painter and rendered it using the Arnold Renderer in Maya

The process was a very simple and well executed process that included my Concept stage my initial blocking the creation of the assets and the final texturing and lighting of the scene, this process like I said took me around 3 weeks to complete which is really really good.

I am now going to show you some of my other projects that I created that I am really proud of

The Abandoned Arctic Station

This was a particular render was a group project for a practice for our Final image assessment at the end of the year, this project was a Artic station that has been abandoned, and deserted for years, the process of the project was to get our ides around getting different made assets into one singular scene inside of maya

it was a group of four that made the different Assets

Reuben (Myself) - The table, Cans, Computer and  Keyboard

Toby: Lantern, Sled, Pickaxe and Mountain

Pablo: Arctic Station, Bed

Leon: Barrel, Radio and Jerry can

The final render Was put together by myself only and I used the assets from the different people in my team to create this one render using the composition to try and tell a story

we used Maya, Zbrush, Substance painter and Arnold Renderer.

The Lombax

This is my first attempt at making a character completely organically using Zbrush, His name is Called The Lombax he is a lombax that has been through some pretty rough times as he believes he is the last of his kind but what he doesn't know is that he is really one of many lombaxes that think the same as he does, The lombax is a warrior that was pretty beat up and destroyed in the war , he has used parts from a destroyed robot from the wars to create the Robotic arms and Robotic look he has going on, all he wants to do is find another lombax to know that he is not all alone in the world.....

The Lombax was created using, Zbrush , Maya and Substance painter along with using the Arnold renderer to get the final render.

Tesseract Explosion

This is a animation of a Tesseract explosion I made using Blender and rendering using Cycles this was a course project that I did when we were tasked to make some 3D effects so I did a Glow and a float to end with a Shattering explosion to show that the Tesseract was infact unstable.

Below you can see the Final Animation render

Earth Inspired Planet Render

This is a Planet project I decided to do while messing around in blender I was using a whole bunch of shader nodes inside of the Shader editor to create the textures and everything on the render, the hardest part was probably making the clouds as trying to get those clouds to work only using Shader nodes inside of blender was quite a challenge but a challenge I fought through, I was going through a phase of making planets in blender and 3D.

The software I used was strictly Blender and Rendered it using the Cycles render engine

Environment Render

This is a fun Little environment render I made in Blender using the Cycles Renderer, this is a really fun messing around project I did when I had a bunch of free time and for something that I wasn't really thinking  was going to look good or even make it as a final render on my portfolio on art station, I really like how realistic and bright it looks and I really like how the composition really works inside of this scene.  There are also some other Environment renders that I made below.

In conclusion I have really made some amazing bits of projects and 3D stuff over the year that I have created both in my spare time and for school projects, I am really proud of the work that I have produced and really hope next year you and I will definitely see an improvement in my work.
