NonPareil Playground
NonPareil Playground it's a project I developed as a student of Industrial Design at EUDI, University of Coruña.
NONPAREIL PLAYGROUND
This was my final degree project as Industrial Designer. This playground was intended for kids between 8-12 years old. Usually those kids doesn't have any places prepared for them to play and that's the reason why lots of them stop going to playgrounds. The games have to be fun, challenging and original.
Nonpareil was the name of one of the english ships that Sir Francis Drake used to strike the northwest of Spain on XVI century. A Coruña (where I was born) suffered and attack. The city, leas by María Pita, rejected the pirates. Some of their ships were sank across the battle.
Now one of those ships has come back for the kids of Sta Cruz (one of the nearby towns) to play on it.
