Hi! My name is Tomo Beddie and I am an aspiring creative director currently specializing in 3D Motion Design and XR Experience Design. Finishing up my last year at SCAD in Atlanta, the submitted six works is a collection of various student and personal projects done over the course of my time in college.

Interested in the intersection between technology and the arts, I am always looking to adopt new techniques and tools to further the possibilities of my creative vision.

The advent of ever evolving revolution in technology creates both daunting and exciting challenges for artists/creatives today. Optimistic about the future of the arts, I am grateful to pursue my creative vision at a time of such innovation and creative renaissance.

Setting my sights on the upcoming revolution in Web 3 and XR technology, I am excited to work alongside the creative iterative capabilities of computers and AI to expand my creative capabilities.

This reel is a collection of my 3D Motion Graphics work.

Tokyo 2020 Olympics NBC Broadcast Package:

Main event indent and 3D broadcast screen transition elements.

Broadcast package and elements aimed to encapsulate the energy and spirit of the games while incorporating the unique landscape and culture of Japan.

Real branding elements used in Olympics such as logos and pictograms were used as base assets to create the most authentic and official broadcast package.

All elements were created using primarily Cinema 4D (Redshift Render) and After Effects.

Coca-Cola Brand Film:

Coca-Cola brand film inspired by the Rube Goldberg machine that follows the journey of colored spheres. Each color represents a different type of cola and are later revealed as Coca-Cola in soft body form. The journey ends with the product shot of the classic flavored coke with 'liquid cola' soft bodies.

All elements were created using primarily Cinema 4D (Octane Render) and After Effects.

BLU BOY: 

WNTD Apparel Branding & Marketing

Series of experimental projects done for my friends fashion brand.

All elements were created using primarily Cinema 4D (Octane Render, Redshift Render) , After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Houdini and Marvelous Designer.

GEO:

Experimental 360 Film

Experimental 360 video exploring various abstract 3D spaces that morph around the viewers perspective.

All elements were created using primarily Cinema 4D (Octane Render) and After Effects.

XR Metaverse Museum:

This XR (Extended Reality) Metaverse Museum is a Web 3 PoC (Proof of Concept) for what I believe the future of websites and social media profiles have the potential to become. Dedicated spaces/environments catered to your brand and how you wish to represent yourself in the new age.

Everybody will have the option to customize their environments like a physical space (Store Front, Venue, Exhibition/Gallery, etc) in a more immersive and interactive way allowing worldbuilding possibilities and a new form of presence in Web 3.

This example serves as a museum type environment showcasing all my motion graphics and installation work. A cross platform experience which is available in VR (Demo using quest 1&2), Mobile (iPad and iPhone), Desktop, and on the web.

The custom environment was modeled, UV, and baked in Cinema 4D (Redshift Render) and made in both Unity and Unreal Engine (V.1 Unity, V.2 Unreal). All work showcased is created by me.
