"Jayson tell me about yourself"

I have always been a rather goofy individual, and through this, I believe I developed a passion for exaggeration and telling stories-most of the time in order to get a laugh. I saw the creative media industry as a great way to combine my love for all things design and my natural ability to bs. From that point on I have had a blast designing and creating the colorful worlds of my mind.

                                                                              PROJECT 1

                   "COMOTION X"

This year I was very fortunate enough to work as the Art Director for the 2019 Comotion Branding Team. An experience of collaboration, exhilaration, and frustration (lol) unparallel to any other project I have ever worked on before. While the nights were long and the deadlines were tight, I had a lot of fun working alongside some of the most talented individuals SCAD has to offer in creating a branding experience that I believe speaks for itself. I created this page not only to display the role I played in the creation of this title sequence but also to show off how proud I am of the fact that a team of 22 people could come together, on top of school work, and make something so kickass.

                                                                           PROJECT 2

          "P2P- PLAY TO PLAY"

Sports have always played a big role in my life. Whether it was travel soccer or varsity basketball in high school, I was always somewhere playing something. P2P is a nostalgic piece that asks one question, “Why did you do it?”. What was the one reason that you showed up every day? I soon came to realize (after the fact) that there was no one reason I played basketball. It wasn’t for the “moment” or the “lights” nor was it for the “legacy” for the “gold”. It was so much more. I played because I loved what I did. I played to play.

                                                                           PROJECT 3

           "NEW PERSPECTIVE"

THE BRIEF: Study another major and make styleframes based off what you learn and experience.

"New Perspective" was my chance to try and look outside the typical realms of motion graphics. For this brief, I chose to study a major we have here at SCAD called "FIbers".-A major dedicated to the creation of textures and materials for an assortment of industries. I admired the lightness of the atmosphere within the fibers hall and the delicate touch every designer seemed to have with their projects.  Illustrating these elements of my experience was my main objective when creating these boards.

                                                                          PROJECT 4

    "INTERACTIVE PERIODIC             TABLE OF ELEMENTS"

THE BRIEF: Create styleframes that display facts in the form of an infographic

My approach to this brief was not to try and think of a video but rather an experience. So I concepted the idea of an interactive Periodic Table of Elements. The idea was that as you clicked on each element it would appear in front of you displaying data (isotopes, geographical location, etc) about the element in addition to changing the style of the entire table as well.

                 "PROMETHEUS"

THE BRIEF: Create styleframes that utilized tactile and illustrative properties.
