Round of applause for our sponsors

This Short Cinematic was compiled by me for my Dynamic Effects School Project where i had to carry out some form of Dynamic Effects.

I chose to use a Real World Height Map imported into UE 4, then construct a Terrain Material which automatically blended between multiple materials in accordance with slope variation.

I then started to compile my Dynamic Weather System which was to involve different weather elements but ultimately cycle through and then loop back. I made a Weather System Blueprint in UE 4, this involved making Particles Systems for the Rain and Snow then importing them into my Blueprint. I started this System with an Event Begin that made use of Mouse Left Click, which then the System would kick off and perform the chain of events. This system tapped into the Sky Box built in parameters which i altered via my Blueprint to gain the desired effects. After this was done i then added sound effects to really bring the Weather System to life.

I then began to compile my Explosion Trigger System via Blueprint. Particle Systems were constructed then imported into the Blueprint where i had to setup multiple Time Delays to gain the accuracy of the shells being fired and landing at different times. I set this System to be fired off from an Even Begin but using the 1 key. During this construction i had to take into account the sound effects time duration and then add it to the time delay of each individual explosion so it all matched up......

The Ocean was a built in system that i altered, especially the scale and wave frequency, to gain an accurate look from where my cameras would be placed. As per the end video, it had to look accurate from a distance, and also up close.

All i really had to do for this school project was one Dynamic Effect.... but as usual i chose a subject/topic that i have a huge passion for and poured my heart and love into it. The rest of this cinematic is an overkill but i wanted to do the Gallipoli Story justice, as it is a part of my history and my country's history.
