Boy and creature - Stranger Things Contest Design

I made a series of sketches where I better defined the design of the creature 

The initial idea was to create a monster and a 12-year-old boy whose appearance would fit in with the '80s (the time the "Stranger Things" series is set).

The boy had to present himself as a mysterious figure who would  give a cool, cold, and distant feeling that would cause the viewer to doubt whether, in any way, he might be voluntarily involved with the creature or whether, on the contrary, he is merely an emotionless prey.

With all this in mind, the thumbnails of the characters were made and, later, some compositions for present the characters were created.
