Forgotten Memories

Concept

'Forgotten Memories' is an interactive virtual experience that tells a story about a young man and his journey to uncover his forgotten culture. Following the mysterious remnants of his path, he slowly starts to regain his memories as one of the descendent of the Kadazan cultures.

The purpose of creating this experience was to share the knowledge about the Kadazan culture as not a lot of people understand such indigenous groups. It also serves as a reminder to young Kadazan people to cherish their culture as they oftentimes lose interest in their own cultures as they grow older.

Each picture shows an in-game screenshot of the entire playthrough. 

Objective 

An immersive VR exploration game that delves int the idea on how Kadazan people in Sabah live their lives, what is their surrounding like and their beliefs. It also serves as an educational experience to learn and interact with surrounding environments that are related to the culture.

Building progress

3D assets are designed in a low poly style in Cinema 4D and exported into Unity 3D for texturing and color corrections.
