Austro-Hungarian Rast & Gasser 1898

During my 3 week semester break, I took this opportunity to model my first gun.

The goal of this project is to create a identical replica of it while also theoretically makin sure that all the components is as accurate as possible so that it can possibly be used for an animation showcasing the internal works of a gun.

Maya, Zbrush and Substance Painter were used to create this model.

With the help of great photo references that was captured by JackTheDog (https://bit.ly/3uaJxLz) I was able to model the gun as accurate as I can.

After finishing the model, it was setup in a way that I am able to texture it in one go.

From this project, I have gained a better understanding in the workflow and will carry forward the experienced that I have gained from this to better improve my future works. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of this project and cant wait to create more.
