Hi I'm Lakin! I am a Game Art student and aspiring concept artist that wants to work in the video game industry. I just finished my first year at university, so my journey towards my dream job is just starting, this is a collection of work I have done during my time at university, I hope you will enjoy it.
Personal Project: Beetle Ruins
Character exploration, design and environment pieces. The project is about a sand surfer who hunts for lost treasure with his small beetle companion.

University Project: Character and Environment Design
For our visual design project we were tasked to design a character and a shack within an environment . For my character I created a scientist that lives in an small lab that resides in an artic area, and does geographical data collection.
Environment Cutaway: Seth's Apartment
Mini personal project, I designed an apartment for one of my characters and used Blender as a base to draw on top of it.
Character Design and Environment Painting
Taking what I learnt from Uni, I created a character sheet for one of my characters; the environment piece is a repaint of something I did back in June 2020. (At end of process slide)
The Legend of Palette Knight: Character Designs
For another personal project, designs for the main trio, it is based in a fantasy world where the main source of magic is from colour!
Extra Environment Paintings
A collection of paintings that were done for fun and experimentation.
Imagining Bloodborne II
My entry for VaatiVidya's Bloodborne art contest.
(Video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0Pe2yfyUdo)
The goal was to design and reimagine Bloodborne 2, I designed weapons, character costume designs/gear, gameplay mechanics and added my own lore. It was fun creating my own interpretation and researching deeper into Bloodborne and it's inspirations, I learnt a lot because of this.
It was challenging to manage university work and getting this done for the contest deadline but, I am happy with the amount of work that I managed to get done.
