Final Entries

I enjoyed my journey through this scene particularly the fact that it pushed me and my limits and forced me to explore and create new ways of doing things.

sculpted and rigged a snake head to better get the scale of my final scene, the pose is still a placeholder.

Texturing & Shaders

I made multiple shaders and added a few scans from Megascans. Most shaders and their masks worked procedurally giving me utmost freedom to play with them to my liking. Blending the assets with the ground was terrifyingly easy when I matched their hues. Eevee doesn't internally support exponential fog so I had to figure a way out to add height fog using the shader system to better match the sky texture.

Blocking Out

I started out by generating a few landscapes in blender and placing them to create a scenery that would collide at the thirds so that they could have a focal point of interest. The Initial Landscape and snake structure didn't need much tweaking, I just had to work on them without constraining myself too much with other aspects of level design.
