Will Stone - Environment and Prop Collection
Hi I'm Will and currently studying MSc 3D Computer Games Design at Staffordshire University. This a collection of environments and props that I've made for my modules; three from this year and one from my undergraduate.
Refuge under the stars
This scene was inspired by the game Eden Star. For this scene I decide to take a look into photogrammetry to create the mud and track road. The other materials, the types of rocks and tree bark, were made using Substance Designer. All assets follow a high to low poly workflow. The environment is presented inside Unreal Engine 4.
The Martian 'The Hab'
This Environment is a recreation of 'The Hab' from the movie The Martian. Built inside Unreal Engine 4. The assets are a mixture of low to high and mid polys. The plants were created in SpeedTree and the two potatoes were hand scanned. The plastic sheet material was created using only the material editor in Unreal.
The Secrets of the Study
This is a 3D modelled environment of a late Edwardian/Victorian era themed study to be used by an Lara Croft inspired modern day adventurer. The room itself is made from one singular trim sheet. All assets followed high poly to low poly workflow. Textures were all made in Substance Painter and the wood flooring was made in Substance Designer then the whole piece was put together inside UE4.
Jedi Starfighter - Delta 7
This my interpretation of the Delta 7 Jedi Starfighter. The inspiration for this piece was from the Star Wars franchise. This piece was modeled in 3DS Max, textured in Substance painter and presented in Unreal and Marmoset Toolbag 3.
