I want to build my own independently released video games. That's my only goal.

I have always wanted to work in video games. I learned to program in C at age 10 and never stopped. But, at it tends to, life happens and I ended up growing a career outside of games as I built my family life. I am at a point in life where I want to pursue it again (though on my own terms, the salaries at big companies are not attractive to a programmer who's been doing it for a long time). I am going to build my own games but need training in 2D art.
