I want to be as good as a programmer as I can be.

When I had to choose what university/school attend to I chose to try programming, especially game programming. I chose programming because in all other professions I was interested in I had to use computer a lot during work hours. Then I thought:"If I will be forced to seat behind the computer all day no matter what profession I choose, why not be a programmer instead?"
