My career goal is to work in the animation industry, creating animated featured films in the future.

After seeing Kung Fu Panda at age 12, Lai was intrigued by the animation process. She was also drawn to the film’s story of overcoming obstacles and imperfections to achieve one’s goals. Lai pursued animation at Singapore Polytechnic. She had worked at Sparky Animation as a layout artist for a year when, desiring more, she enrolled at SCAD. These exclusive experiences put Lai in a position to fulfill her dreams of creating the heartfelt, animated stories with a message that first inspired her.
