Growing up, I spent a lot of time indoors. My older sister is disabled and she had tons of doctor appointments. My parents bought us DVDs of animated movies, which let us travel to places beyond the shoebox of our apartment. I would transport myself into the characters' stories, pretending to be them. I would play these movies loud, so my older sister could feel the vibrations of the music and hear where we would travel. I realized art was for me around the age of 14.
