This level was created for one of my final projects. Delirium is a horror/survival game made on Unreal Engine 4. Created by my colleague David Miguel who was the Game Designer of the game and who invited me to be the Lead Level Designer of his game.

The 2D Layout I did before I started doing Level. I made some rooms, having found the restriction and concealment of the environment. 1º Floor

-1º Floor Morgue Room

2º Floor Doctor´s Office

2º Floor Patients Room

After you have done 2D Layout. I created a simple BlockMesh in the Unreal Engine to test the size of the level and correct the rooms.

At this time, I had a different layout. I changed the layout when my Game Designer wanted everything to be in one building. This image shows BlockMesh yet to be developed. At the end of its completion, many rooms were removed because they were discouraged

Building viewed from the outside. In building this level, I wanted to give the player the feeling of being in a mental hospital with long corridors and several rooms.

In this picture shows a hospital entrance is its decay. Supposedly the hospital is abandoned, but according to the history of the game, the player discovers otherwise.

1º Floor

Using several decals to show dirt and damage around the hospital I tried to create something detailed with the many assets I had available.

The player will see several plants growing on the hospital walls demonstrating the time that this building is "abandoned"

-1º Floor Morgue Room

1º Floor

2º Floor Doctor´s Office

1º Floor

All rooms, I put some level of detail, to make the player feel immersive with the environment

I tried to play with the illumination of the level, playing with the darkness, giving the sensation that something might come and attack the player.
