Perfume Packaging

I created perfume packaging inspired by the myths of the Hespérides. It takes up the principle of Greek vases and the scents of the perfume.

My concept uses elements such as the Trajan typography reminiscent of Greek columns, and the color of the amphorae. The most remarkable color is orange, making it possible to refer to both Greek mythology and the fruity aspect of the fragrance. The pattern is also a close-up representation of the pulp of the oranges. The final packaging includes 3 parts: the label, the box and the lid.

The label positioned on 2 opposite sides of the bottle allows the pattern to be highlighted. Composed using the principle of thirds, the whole is balanced. This is the part which most literally takes up the codes of Greek amphorae (orange patterns on a dark background) given that it is the element that the consumer will keep at home and which will leave the most lasting impression.

The box which contains the perfume has a thicker base intended to highlight the product. The textual elements of the packaging appear on the box and its lid to become more than a simple box.

The lid is composed mainly of the orange motif and is in negative relation to the perfume label. The notch on it, which clears the back of the box, allows the user to understand the opening system at a glance. The orange color is much more significant to attract the eye and refer more insistently to the fruity aspect of the perfume.
