Hello everyone!
This is my second work in progress: Nebula!
Whit this project I'm having fun with displacement, emissive and filters in Substance.
I've started with the model made on ZBrush: I'm not a modeller so I took an already made model and modified it a bit to suit my needs. Than I moved on Substance painter and I started to place some texture for the base skin.
When I do personal projects I like to experiment with brushes and textures letting my creativity flow, so I always try to create as if I were painting a picture, that way I let my imagination run away with me and discover new techniques. Here I was trying to play with brushes and emissives, through details.
Here I started painting on the model freehand, and applied displacement. I liked the effect very much and it was close to the concept I had: a bright and colourful star child, which looked almost as if it were made of glass.
At this point I was totally in the creative flow so I let my hand draw lines, apply various textures, filters, grunge, flakes, bright freckles... I loved it!
Before rendering I’ll tweak it some more, but I'm satisfied with how it looks so far!
