The Donjon

The exercise was to animate the MiniEvil in the dungeon and to imagine a scenario to explain "why the MiniEvil runs away in the dungeon? ".

For my part, I wanted to challenge myself with this exercise by adding a second character: the great squirrel!

And it was fun! I loved animating her expressions and her tail was a bit complicated to animate. I wanted an animation with beautiful poses and a dynamic visual so I animated his tail on each frame. And I think I succeeded!

Process

In reading order : Blocking / posing 2D / WalkCycle / RunCycle 

First, I became familiar with the rig of the "MiniEvil" by doing the walking cycle and the running cycle. Then I imagined what the two characters would do: a chase between the Big Squirrel and the "MiniEvil". In order to make a good Blocking, I drew in advance each movement that the two characters would make.
