Update - 22 Feb 2024

Here is my initial block out for the forest house in Unreal.

- The steeper angle of the roof in the concept ended up looking a bit weird with grass growing on it so I ended up adjusting it to be lower.

- I think I'll have to keep adjusting the fungus some more to make the intersections with the roots and building look like they make more sense.

I used 'Dynamic Volumetric Sky' by BoranOzturk to start figuring out the lighting, and 'Interactive Open World Foliage' by Project Nature - Props to block out some grass. The foliage will be replaced later with what I make myself.

Block out pieces modelled in Blender and ZBrush.

Update - 31 Jan 2024

I've been really wanting to dive more into organic environments and exteriors so here I go! I'll be working on this project with the goal of developing my skills by creating a primarily modular set that can function as a game environment.

The concept art that I'll be basing it off of is 'Forest House' by  Shawn Looyen https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Gab0oQ

The concept art is of an isolated house with no background. I'd like to expand it into a larger set that can be walked around in, so I'll need to come up with the surrounding environment that the house is set in. Since this will be largely modular, I would also like to create a few surrounding buildings in the same vein as the forest house.
