Modeling an asset for a personal project, deriving a Chunck Trafagander texture tutorial as a basis, I developed a material in Substance Painter. Using alpha procedurals and generators, I tempered color direction in a more lucrative manner, in order to create the various textured materials for this completed asset.

Round of applause for our sponsors

Initially taking a Substance Designer tutorial, by Chunck Trafagander, on how to make wooden panels, this allowed me a deeper understanding of the basics and fundamentals of principle concept behind developing my own workflow, and therefore producing my own textures.

Modeling an asset for a personal project, using his texture tutorial as a basis, I proceeded to manipulate and expound upon it in Substance Painter.  Using alpha procedurals and generators. I tempered color direction in a more lucrative manner, in order to create the various textured materials for this completed asset.

Chunck's tutorial was extremely helpful in learning Substance Designer as well as allowed me the opportunity to tinker with Substance Painter and develop a greater familiarity with it.  I want to go back and work with the Substance Suite more often.
