1st Year Final Project : The Seamstress Workshop

My 1st year final project at ESMA Toulouse : The craftman workshop. I chose to represent the seamstress workshop because I wanted to make fabrics and clothes. A dance seamstress was a good idea because it had specific and recognizable garment (tutu dress).

My images represent a seamstress who is in the process of sewing a tutu, a specific classical dancing skirt. My link between my first and my second image is all my first image. The left side is now on the right and the right side is now reflected on the mirror on the left. Even if the work is hard, accurate and require constant concentration, she’s happy in his work. My message is to work for your passion to be happy during all the work time, until retirement.

It was a difficult project because i had to create a mannequin, so a human, fabrics and a specific garment (tutu). Those things are not teached in first year of 3D so it was a hard but interesting project.
